I graduated cum laude from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, followed by a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Tulane University. I have over 30 years of clinical experience treating adults, couples, families, adolescents and children over the course of my career. Currently, I am working with adolescents and adults in individual and couple’s therapy. I see clients in person and via in-home therapy.
My approach to treatment is individualized and integrative. I will use the most effective treatment methods that will help you reach your goals of therapy. My approach may include any of the following: Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Somatic Therapy and mindfulness techniques. I specialize in treating trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, co-occurring disorders, relationship concerns, life adjustment concerns, and end-of life passage.
My current areas of interest are neuropsychology via Robert Scaer, Peter Levine and Bessel Van Der Kolk; Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy based on the work of John Bowlby and Carl Rogers, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy developed by Steven C. Hayes.
My Approach
I view therapy as a partnership and a collaboration. We will embark on this remarkable journey together. I look forward to walking with you on your path to understanding, clarity and peace.
Based on the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship of safety and empathy, I will support and guide you to explore your inner world to reach your goals of therapy.
